The Shalom Ministries Staff

Jeff Wright - the President of Shalom Ministries. Jeff brings more than 25 years of experience as a youth minister, pastor, church planter, urban ministry director, editor, nonprofit administrator, college teacher, and middle judicatory executive. He is an ordained Mennonite minister, serves as Southern California Regional Conference Minister in the Pacific Southwest Mennonite Conference and is pastor of the Riverside Brethren in Christ Church. Jeff holds M.Div and MBA degrees, and is completing a D.Min degree in urban spirituality & mission at Spurgeon's College, London.

Rebecca Franco - Shalom Ministries Office Assistant. Rebecca is currently a student at Pasadena City College pursuing an Associates Degree in Business Administration. She attends Iglesia Evangelica Bethel in North Hollywood where she serves on the worship team and as youth leader.

CAL Staff

Valentina Satvedi - Director of Urban Theological Education at the Center for Anabaptist Leadership. Valentina holds a B. Comm degree from Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersy Woman's University in Mumbai, India and an M.Div from Bethany Theological Seminary in Richmond, Indiana. Valentina has 10 years of pastoral experience and is an ordained minister in the Church of the Brethren.

Joel Shenk - Director of Learning and Service Ministries at the Center for Anabaptist Leadership. Joel holds a B.S. degree in justice, peace, and conflict studies from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, VA. Joel is currently working toward an M.Div degree at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.

AMI Staff

George "Brother" Makinto - Coordinator for Amahoro International and Shalom Ministries Artist in Residence. Brother Makinto is also on the pastoral team at LA Faith Chapel in Inglewood, CA, an international recording artist, composer, and accomplished musician, and UN Goodwill ambassador for WAFUNIF, NY

Mukarabe Makinto - Director of Africa Partnerships for Amahoro International. Mukarabe is an ordained minister, certified interpreter, holds a double Masters degree in public and health administration and was liaison officer for the UN-World food program in Kenya during the Rwandan genocide in 1994.
